About the Role:

The Day Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of commercial or residential properties during daytime hours. This position ensures that all common areas, entrances, and facilities are clean, well-stocked, and presentable to visitors, tenants, and staff. The Day Porter is responsible for promptly addressing any maintenance or cleanliness issues that arise throughout the day, contributing to a positive environment and enhancing the reputation of the property. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards or areas needing attention, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in janitorial or porter services.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Basic maintenance skills or experience.
• Good communication skills to interact with staff and visitors.
• Ability to work flexible hours if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas.
• Monitor and replenish supplies in restrooms and other designated areas to ensure availability for occupants and visitors.
• Respond promptly to spills, debris, or other hazards to maintain a safe environment and prevent accidents.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, reporting repair needs, and setting up or moving furniture as required.
• Communicate effectively with property management and other staff to report issues, coordinate tasks, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.
