Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy interventions according to each patient's individualized plan of care
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
• Provide patient and family education to support functional independence
• Communicate patient status and progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols
• Assist patients in developing and restoring functional independence

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active COTA license in Georgia (or ability to obtain)
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Occupational therapy principles and techniques
• Patient care and patient education
• Medical documentation and record-keeping
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Compliance with state and federal regulations
