About This Role

Long-Term Substitute and on call Teachers Needed – Exciting Opportunity this school year!Help Us Welcome New Peachtree Babies!

Peachtree Prep and Peachtree Academy are looking for three outstanding Long-Term Substitute Teachers for Elementary classes (Prek-5th grade) to join our team this fall while several of our teachers take maternity leave to welcome their newest family members! We have some precious Peachtree babies on the way, and we're looking for caring, dependable, and enthusiastic educators who can step into the classroom for 6–12 week assignments and continue providing exceptional learning experiences for our students.

We are also seeking On-Call Substitute Teachers who enjoy variety and flexibility and can assist across multiple age groups as needed. We offer Prek-12th grade and early learning preschool programs at 4 different campuses in Rockdale and Newton County.

Who You'll Teach

Our substitute teachers may work with students in:

Infants & Early Childhood

Preschool & Pre-K

Elementary School

Middle School

High School

What We're Looking For

✔️ Experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, coaching, tutoring, or youth program setting

✔️ Positive attitude and strong communication skills

✔️ Ability to engage students and maintain a productive learning environment

✔️ A heart for helping children learn and grow

✔️ Teaching experience or education background preferred, but we welcome talented individuals with relevant experience

What You'll Do

Instruct students in the classroom according to the lesson plans provided and create supplemental activities to keep students engaged.

Carryout classroom management

Nice To Haves

For the older groups / subject specific classes (Math, Spanish, Social Studies, Science, ELA) a degree is preferred.

Benefits

• $90 per day for a full day from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  The pay rate is based on education level and experience

About Peachtree Prep, our Early Childhood Division

The early childhood division of the school bases its academic program on a weekly unit of study for academic advancement. Teachers use lesson plans to guide the delivery of information and address individual issues of advanced skill levels or areas of improvement that are needed. Parents may supplement the curriculum by bringing in books, materials, or ideas related to the theme for the benefit of the class.
