Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics
• BLS certification required
• Work in Medical Surgical/Remote Telemetry unit with diagnoses including diabetes, med/surg, post-op, wound vacs, and bariatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 33-bed unit with average daily census of 28
• Required to use Epic charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Work every other weekend
• Floating required as part of rotation with regular staff
• No call requirements
• Must work holidays according to facility policy based on assignment length
• Skills include MS/Tele, IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, chest tubes, and various other medical-surgical nursing competencies
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Georgia or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Two supervisory references highly preferred
• Must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract
