Summary
The Hose Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and testing hydraulic hoses to ensure that are fit for purpose to meet standards set by the company.

Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years hose assembly experience
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability and aptitude to learn.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Demonstrate a positive “can do” approach to work.
- Ability to function well within a team environment.
- Customer and Quality focus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembles hydraulic and pneumatic hoses.
- Help regulate and update hose lists by documenting and collaborating with engineering.
- To follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations in accordance with the organization’s Safety Manual System, at all times.
- To ensure that all tasks carried out are as per supervisor’s written and verbal instructions.
- To be fully aware of component compatibility and competent in the use and knowledge of our products.
- To be able to identify and use appropriate fitting to specified hoses, as per customer specification.
- To carry out assemblies using a variety of hoses for industrial hydraulic purposes.
- To understand the procedures involved when testing to higher pressures and its associated safety critical aspects.
- To carry out all assembly techniques as per supplier or in-house procedures.
- To be familiar with all our supplied fittings and their use.
- To advise and train, trainees/adhoc labor when and if required to do so by Operators Manager.
- To be aware of environmental issues associated with plant procedures.
- To have the ability to operate all hose assembly machinery and equipment.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- To report any safety defects to supervisor immediately.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
- Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately and perform repetitive tasks
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- May require the ability to use various hand tools during the assembly process.
