Oracle C2M Solution Architect

Job Description:
- This role is responsible for supporting and implementing key technology including the overall technology architecture for the new CIS/MDM solution and its various software and middleware integration components.
- These components include the new Customer Information (CIS) and Meter Data Management (MDM) systems, along with the advanced analytics platform, and the enhanced customer engagement tools for our customers and call center agents.
- The C2M administrator is responsible for building, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Oracle Customer to Meter.
- Other activities include routine maintenance activities such as deployments, patching, and other administrative tasks.
- Once the solution goes live in September 2026, this role will provide hypercare and production support activities as well as maintenance support for day 2 build activities in lower environments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is desirable or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10 or more years of experience in IT (Information Technology), with at least 5 years of experience deploying and managing Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M) (25.4 desired, minimum v2.9) and other Oracle related middleware components like WebLogic Server (14c desired).
- Strong product knowledge of Oracle Utilities Customer to Meter platforms (C2M, CC&B, MDM) including administration, configuration, support, and enhancements desired.
- Strong product knowledge of Oracle WebLogic 14c, install, configuring, troubleshooting.
- Hands on experience with Oracle WebLogic 14c in last 2 years, 12c within last 5 years.
- Hands on experience with configuring and supporting C2M components such as IWS, batch, JMS queues, etc.
- Experience with integrations such as Oracle SOA a nice to have
- Experience with configuring Dynatrace or other monitoring tools for monitoring Oracle C2M desired.
- Knowledge and hands on experience of DevOps release management to Oracle C2M.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting.
- Demonstrated consulting skills, initiative to influence change, proactive thinker.
- The individual will need to be able to function in a fast-paced changing environment, manage changing priorities, be responsive, dependable, and discerning when supporting the business and coworkers.
- Knowledge and experience in creating automation and DevOps management is desirable.
- The individual must multi-task efficiently, manage projects, work independently with little supervision, and keep assignments organized by planning their work and meeting project deadlines.
- Experience in managing multiple small projects and initiatives.
- Membership of the Insider Threat Program (ITP)
- Participation in a rotating on-call support.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Specify major duties performed by the job and % of time spent on duties.
- Installations and Configurations: Implement and maintain Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M) and WebLogic Server Middleware infrastructure in the Development, Test, and Production Environments. Setup configurations like Coherence clusters, SSO, JMS, SSL, and certificate key stores. Middleware environment administration (Install, configure, migrate, tune, patch, administration & monitoring) on Oracle WebLogic 14c. Ensure the effective daily operation of the production / Middleware applications and provide administrative support for new implementations, upgrades, and migrations Effective collaboration with infrastructure teams, application development teams, testing and release teams Identify and quickly escalate potential issues with solution design, packaged software, client resources, or anything else that impacts the ability to deliver according to expectations.
- Upgrades and Patching: Perform infrastructure upgrades. Apply routine Oracle patches to resolve issues, maintain supportability, and ensure security.
- Migrations: Support developers in development-oriented activities. Migrate code between test, QA, and production environments. Help provide guidance for web services and API development.
- Performance Tuning: Perform ongoing performance tuning and system resource optimization.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Setup and respond to standardized alerts, perform regular log analysis, monitor, and maintain systems to identify any issues. Maintain overall system health to maximize system uptime and ensure delivery of service level objectives.
- Support: Work on customer support tickets and requests. Provide On-Call support, assist project, development, security, and operations teams as required.
- Troubleshooting: Work with Development, DBA, Server, and Network Administrators to resolve application problems. Provide support for restoration of service and perform root cause analysis.
- Automation: Look for and create automation for routine tasks.
- Documentation: Develop documentation for assigned projects including installation guides, troubleshooting guides, run books etc.
- Best Practices/Standards: Keep abreast of the latest developments in the industry and guide project teams to follow industry best practices. Develop, document, and communicate standards for utilizing/consuming the platform services.
