Medical Assistant Dermatology
Cleaver Medical Group is a growing, multisite dermatology practice dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. As we expand our office locations, we are seeking motivated Medical Assistants to join our fast-paced and rewarding team.

As a Medical Assistant in our dermatology practice, you will play a vital role in supporting both patients and providers throughout the clinical experience. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, values teamwork, and is committed to practicing medicine the CLEAVER Way.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain accurate medical histories, medications, and vital signs.
- Act as a medical scribe during patient exams to ensure accurate documentation.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including administering local anesthetic (numbing).
- Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens.
- Assist providers during both minor and major dermatologic surgical procedures.
- Maintain a clean and well-prepared clinical environment.
- Provide patient education and ensure comfort throughout their visit.
- Manage prescriptions, prior authorizations, and necessary paperwork.
- Support providers with follow-ups, biopsy tracking, and pathology coordination.
- Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and efficiency in all patient interactions.
- Collaborate with the care team to uphold clinical workflows and patient satisfaction.
- Returning patient phone calls.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant, CDT, or LNP
- Prior dermatology or surgical assisting experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong clinical background.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with a dedication to patient care.
