Non-Process Bar, Packaging (Acworth)

TRC Talent is looking for a Packager for our client in Acworth, GA

Job Details:

• 1st shift: 7AM (or 8AM) - finish
• Monday-Friday
• $18/hr

Job Duties:

• Package and prepare pallets of metal plates and parts for shipment using wood crating, corrugated boxes, shrink wrap, and steel banding to ensure materials are secure and protected during transportation by truck.

• Safely unload inbound shipments and load outbound trucks, verifying materials against shipping documents and following all safety and handling procedures.

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stage, and organize materials throughout the warehouse; forklift experience preferred, with training available for qualified candidates.

• Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods while handling heavy or oversized materials.

• Break down bundles of 12-foot or longer bar stock into smaller, manageable bundles according to order requirements and production needs.

• Stage materials for machine operators and production teams to ensure timely workflow and minimize downtime.

• Prepare, move, and organize materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy, proper labeling, and correct placement in designated staging areas.

• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track, move, and update material locations accurately in real time.

• Conduct cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and locate lost or misplaced materials to maintain accurate inventory records.

• Receive, inspect, and handle large volumes of newly delivered materials, ensuring proper identification, storage, and documentation.

• Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, communicating effectively with supervisors, operators, and coworkers.

• Demonstrate strong computer skills for data entry, inventory tracking, and use of internal systems and software.
