Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients in the OR, upholding sterile technique and prioritizing patient safety.
- Assist with preoperative verification, patient positioning, instrument handling, and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with the anesthesia team and circulating staff to monitor intraoperative vitals and ensure smooth workflow.
- Verify patient identity, procedure, and consent; participate in time-out procedures and accurate documentation of intraoperative events.
- Support operating room turnover, equipment readiness, and room setup between cases; communicate needs to the team promptly.
- Facilitate accurate handoff to postoperative care teams and assist with post-anesthesia care as applicable; participate in on-call coverage and weekend/holiday rotations.

Requirements
- Current active RN license in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain) to practice in the OR setting.
- Minimum of prior travel nursing experience.
- Level 1 trauma experience required or demonstrated in prior roles.
- Burn experience preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment.
- Ability to work a 10-hour day shift on a four-day schedule with on-call requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work in a surgical operating room setting with adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
