Credence has an immediate need for an Acquisition Program Logistician at the senior level to support the Weapons Superiority Division (AFLCMC/EBU) at Robins AFB, GA. The Weapons Superiority Division, AFLCMC/EBU, has responsibility for all development, acquisition, and sustainment activities for a portfolio of weapons systems, which includes the Department of Defense (DoD) preeminent air-to-air weapon, the AIM-120 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM). The Weapons Superiority Program office manages a portfolio, consisting of both Air-to-Air Missiles and Specialized Management Programs developing, producing, and sustaining our nation's warfighters and foreign military customers as well as advanced, high-impact, highly classified armament technologies and capabilities to meet joint Air Force and Navy warfighter requirements. These products include, but are not limited to, the AMRAAM, the High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) Targeting System (HTS), and Air Intercept Missile (AIM)-9X & 9M, ADM-160, Miniature Air-Launched Decoy Missile (MALD) and AGM-88 High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM). In addition, EBU, has responsibility for launchers program, Reliability Asset Monitoring (RAM) program in support all missile programs, and supported legacy weapon systems to include Small Arms, SOF/PR, Fighter and Bomber Bomb Racks, Aircraft Guns, and Small and Medium Caliber Ammunition, and the Tactical Missile Technical Coordination Group (TMTCG). EBU provides assistance to other EB divisions to support the transition of other programs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:

  • Assist, prepare, develop, and deliver compliant documents in support of a variety of Logistics/Product Support activities required to field and maintain the readiness and operational capability of all systems, (covered or non-covered) subsystems, and components, including all functions related to system readiness.
  • Apply knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive logistics support in the design, development, production, operation, and sustainment of armament systems.
  • Plan, develop, and execute product support strategies which span the acquisition life cycle from requirements analysis through disposal to ensure weapons system readiness.
  • Provide experienced logistics and technical resources to ensure effective, efficient, and affordable product support.
  • Coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time.
  • Consider all Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements (Product Support Management, Design Interface, Sustaining Engineering, Supply Support, Maintenance Planning and Management, Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T), Technical Data, Support Equipment, Training/Training Support, Manpower/Personnel, Facilities/Infrastructure, and IT Systems).
  • The IPS elements and interrelationship with the other logistics providers (Air Force Sustainment Center, Defense Logistics Agency, Contractor, etc.), should be considered during the development, implementation, and subsequent revalidation of the product support strategy to optimize supportability, suitability, reliability, availability, maintainability, affordability, and mission capability.
  • Perform duties IAW AFI 23-101 including, but not limited to maintaining required training, managing assets under their control, performing inventory inspection, submitting allowance change requests, validating authorizations, reporting excess authorizations, ensuring items are on-hand and serviceability/condition is properly recorded, identifying critical requirements through functional area managers, and conducting annual floor-to-book and book-to-floor inventory of assigned equipment account.
  • Provide logistics input on RFPs, SOWs, PWSs, and CDRLs. The Contractor shall provide logistics analytical support for key logistics metrics (including but not limited to supply, reliability, maintainability, and reliability) and provide them to key logistics reviews.
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative project team and apply knowledge of DoD integrated product support element structure.
  • Advice and assistance with Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS-BCA), Sustainment Reviews, Logistics Health Assessments, and Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) processes.
  • Assist with development of and perform logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the product support required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program.
  • Assist with identification of requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and with correlating those requirements with program plans to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place.
  • Provide knowledge and experience in performing cost estimating activities in support of all program phases including, but not limited to most probable cost estimates, cost analyses concurrent to the acquisition process, economic analyses, and probabilistic cost, schedule, technical, and programmatic risk assessments.
  • Coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time.
  • Integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a product support strategy.
  • Apply knowledge of the acquisition logistics and product support planning during each phase of the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Provide knowledge and experience in funding, forecasting, programming, and budgeting using new and existing databases and software; and maintaining cognizance of the status of approved, deferred, and released funds.
  • If appointed by the organizational commander or designated representative, you will assume the role of primary or alternate Customer Authorization/Custody Receipt Listing (CA/CRL) equipment custodian.

Requirements

Education, Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Secret security clearance is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical/professional disciplines being performed
  • OR master’s degree with seven (7) years of experience in the respective technical/professional disciplines being performed.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

Job may require the employee to be:

  • Willingness to travel if required.
  • In a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs as required
  • Able to move equipment not to exceed 25 lbs. as needed.
