Job Title: Business Consultant Specialist
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday / 8am – 5pm (in-office; Tuesday & Thursday or as needed - Hybrid)
Time limited: 3-6-Months
Salary: $22.64 (per hour) which is equal to around $47,100 annually (not including market)

General Duties:
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for the onboarding of new customers and responding to customer inquiries regarding questions concerning their access or use of service, as well as general use questions regarding the service. This includes ensuring that customers understand where to go to use the service and requirements to use the service. The specialist needs to be aware of basic marketing requirements and product/service offerings in order to provide the stakeholder with needed information to identify solutions that meet business needs. Works on smaller, less complex product/service offerings with agencies; projects typically require a focus on onboarding and assisting customers in these areas of expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes business needs and identifies possible opportunities.
- Creates and maintains a customer database.
- Facilitates communication between GTA and customers (non-state entities, including, but not limited to counties, cities, authorities, citizens, private colleges, universities, and businesses) to assist them in improving products/services, to build relationships, and to increase customer satisfaction.
- Thoroughly reviews relevant data and reports of customers’ activities in order to develop/ implement improvements.
- Assists in identifying new GTA product and service offerings to market.
- Identifies and contacts key stakeholders; penetrates market and introduces GTA product/service offerings.
- Evaluates, analyzes, and determines the appropriate product/service offering opportunities. Has knowledge of GTA’s services and initiatives.
- Identifies trends from customer interaction which could lead to potential new products for GTA.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Core Competencies:
- Clear communication: Conveying information effectively verbally and in writing to ensure customers understand instructions and solutions.
- Ability to remain calm and composed when interaction with customers.
- Technical proficiency to navigate word, excel and CRM systems to identify problems or technical issues during onboarding.
- Ability to organize, manage time and details efficiently, especially when handling multiple clients or inquiries.
- Collaboration: working with cross-functional teams to support the onboarding and service processes.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in business administration or a related field or equivalent education or experience on a year for year basis and two years of marketing/sales, customer service, client onboarding, sales support, or business development
- Proficient in MS Office Suites
- Strong understanding of customer onboarding processes
- Basic knowledge of marketing principles and product/service positioning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot basic issues and escalate more complex ones appropriately
- Adaptable to changing products, services, and customer needs
- (Preferred not required) Familiarity with public sector or agency environments is a bonus
