• No Trauma Designation
• Chest Pain Center – ECCC Level 3
• Remote Stroke Center
• Free On-Site Parking

Unit Information

• 22 ED Beds + Surge Beds
• Average Census: 85 Patients/Day
• First-Time Travelers Accepted
• Minimum Experience: 2 Years ED RN Experience Required

Patient Population

Common diagnoses include:

• Chest Pain
• Stroke
• Diabetes
• Abdominal Pain
• Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVCs)
• Hypertension
• Mental Health Emergencies

Staffing Ratios

• RN: 1:3–4 (depending on zone)
• LPN: 1:4
• CNA: 2 per shift

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active Georgia RN License
• BLS
• BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm)
• ACLS
• PALS

Preferred Certifications

• TNCC
• Emergency Nursing Certification

• May float within the ER
• Possible float to Navicent ER in Macon (approximately 45 minutes away)

Orientation

• 1 Day General Orientation + Educational Modules
• 2 Days Department Orientation

• Every Other Weekend or 6 Shifts per 6-Week Schedule
• Travelers Required to Work 75% of Holidays
• No Call or Callback Requirements
