Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an operations-focused SAP Manufacturing Analyst to support manufacturing operations within a discrete manufacturing plant. This is not a traditional SAP consulting or IT position. The successful candidate will serve as the manufacturing site's SAP PP/MM subject matter expert, partnering directly with Production, Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure SAP accurately supports day-to-day manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate has significant manufacturing experience and owns SAP PP/MM manufacturing master data while working closely with plant personnel to improve production processes, support engineering changes, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain SAP PP/MM manufacturing master data, including Material Masters, Bills of Material (BOMs), Routings, Work Centers, Production Versions, and MRP settings.
- Work directly with Production, Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure SAP accurately reflects day-to-day manufacturing operations.
- Validate SAP master data against actual shop floor processes and maintain data integrity across the manufacturing environment.
- Troubleshoot production order issues, backflush errors, MRP discrepancies, routing issues, and other manufacturing master data problems by working directly with plant personnel.
- Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs/ECMs), manufacturing process changes, and New Product Introductions (NPI) by updating and validating SAP manufacturing data.
- Partner with manufacturing teams to improve production efficiency, data accuracy, and overall manufacturing performance through SAP.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and help improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across the manufacturing operation.
- Perform routine audits of manufacturing master data and implement corrective actions to ensure SAP accurately supports production requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of hands-on SAP PP/MM experience within a discrete manufacturing environment.
- Significant experience supporting manufacturing operations and working directly with shop floor personnel.
- Experience serving as the internal owner of SAP PP/MM manufacturing master data, including Material Masters, Bills of Material (BOMs), Routings, Work Centers, Production Versions, and MRP.
- Experience validating SAP master data against actual manufacturing processes on the shop floor.
- Experience supporting Production Orders, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs/ECMs), manufacturing process changes, and New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Strong understanding of discrete manufacturing operations, production workflows, and shop floor processes.
- Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship Required.
Compensation:
$75,000 to $90,000 annually, Full Time, W-2 (Not contract or 1099)
