Summary of Job Duties:

The Budget Manager reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Finance Director for the Division of Research and Innovation. The Budget Manager supports the AVC in their role as a key liaison among faculty college budget officers (CBOs) and division leadership to ensure high-quality communications fiscal integrity and efficiency across all research and innovation financial activities.

Regular reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting finance business administration or a related field

• At least three years of experience in financial management budgeting or accounting

• Proficiency with Workday and Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Five or more years of experience in financial management budgeting or accounting

• Expertise with Workday and Microsoft Excel reporting

• Masters degree CPA license or other professional certification

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Detail-oriented

• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Strong accounting skillset
