Rail Equipment Electromechanical Build Technician

What you will build
- Translate drawings, blueprints, schematics, specs, work orders, and bills of materials into clear build steps.
- Assemble, align, and secure subassemblies and frames with appropriate hand and power tools.
- Use fixtures, templates, and microscopes to fit and integrate parts with accuracy.
- Create precise mounting and wiring holes: drill, tap, ream, countersink, and spot-face using presses and portable drills.
- Verify dimensions and clearances with precision instruments (e.g., calipers) to meet tolerances.
- Inspect surfaces and perform electrical tests on wiring, assemblies, and circuits; document and address findings.
- Clean components with approved solutions; maintain a tidy, safe, and well-inventoried workspace.
Must-haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Substantial electromechanical assembly experience.
- Strong wiring background; proven ability to read and apply schematics.
- Lift up to 35 lbs safely.
- Effective English communication (read/write/speak).
- Team-first mindset; quick learner with reliable execution.
- Safety focus and skilled use of power tools and equipment.

- HVAC and HVAC maintenance
- Electrical schematics; installation; troubleshooting; repair
- Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting
- PCB assembly and PCB components
- Commercial electrical expertise
- Blueprint reading
- Basic computer skills
