The Position

Our Georgia-based bank client is seeking to fill a Commercial Loan Assistant role in the Carterville, GA area. The successful candidate will be assisting with and processing commercial and construction loans from application through closing.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $47K and an excellent benefits package. (This is a hybrid remote position in the Emerson, GA area).

Commercial Loan Assistant responsibilities include:

• Providing administrative and operational support to the commercial lending area of the bank.
• Creating and maintaining loan files to include the Credit, Collateral, Draw, and Guarantor files.
• Maintaining files for appropriate documentation to perfect liens on all secured loans.
• Reviewing loan packages for accuracy prior to delivery to the Banker.
• Coordinating closings with lenders, attorneys, insurance agents, and customers.
• Requesting inspection, ensuring the receipt of required documentation prior to funding, calculates, processes, obtains proper approval, and requests funding for draw requests efficiently and in agreement with Bank policies and procedures and service level agreements.
• Ordering title searches, UCC searches, appraisals, and flood certifications as needed.
• Assisting with processing loan payoffs, preparing demand statements, and processing loan payments and advances.
• Reviewing closed and funded loans for document completion and ensuring that loans are booked in a timely and accurate manner.
• Approving the disbursement of closing funds and issuing loan proceeds checks and wires.
• Quoting loan payoffs.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree or additional course work in banking, finance, or lending is an asset.
• Two or more years of prior experience in commercial and consumer loan processing.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
