Your day to day as a Maintenance TechnicianAs a Full-Time Maintenance Technician at Woodhaven Furniture, you will play a crucial role in our operations by inspecting, operating, and testing machinery to diagnose malfunctions effectively. You will use various tools-like hoists, cranes, and handheld power tools-to dismantle equipment and access defective parts for repair. Your expertise in routine maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and inspecting motors and belts, will help ensure optimal performance of our machines. You will also utilize blueprints and repair manuals to diagnose mechanical problems and implement effective solutions. Additionally, you'll assemble and repair wiring and plumbing systems while adjusting functional parts with precision tools.
Keeping our work area safe and orderly is essential, as is reporting any defective materials to your supervisor. This position demands a keen eye for detail and adherence to safety regulations, reinforcing our commitment to producing quality furniture.
What matters mostTo thrive as a Full-Time Maintenance Technician at Woodhaven Furniture, candidates should possess a solid foundation in machine repair, with at least 5 years of relevant experience preferred. A trade school education or equivalent work experience is essential to ensure that you have a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with manufacturing environments will enhance your ability to diagnose and rectify machine malfunctions effectively. Proficiency in using a variety of tools, such as drills, hoists, and precision measuring instruments, is crucial for executing repairs and conducting routine maintenance.
