Fresh Administrative Assistant

Location: 5000 Kansas Ave Kansas City, KS

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Procurement, supporting the Corporate Fresh Procurement Team, this position will work closely with the buying group, sales managers and administrative staff. They will support the corporate fresh team with daily tasks to help achieve department and company goals related to vendors, new items, pricing and prebooks.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up of new items

• Set up of new vendors
• Process cost changes
• Research deductions, vendor repay requests
• Review close dated/excess inventory report and provide recap to buyers
• Check that trucks have arrived to all AWG warehouses
• Recap receiving exceptions and inform buyers
• Review prebook exception report to identify inventory challenges
• Communicate changes to divisions as needed
• Provide general support for procurement team

• Process Service Now requests as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High school diploma

• Knowledge of AWG systems preferred to include SCM, PComm, Balances, OnDemand, Peoplesoft)
• Minimum of 6 months previous customer service experience
• Microsoft Office experience required, strong Excel knowledge preferred
• Must be able to multi-task easily and efficiently with strong communication skills
• Must possess excellent prioritization skills
• Must be detail oriented and have good organizational skills

• Must be a team player
