Salary: $125,000 - $145,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Electrical Estimator to join our team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a passion for excellence, who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As an Electrical Estimator, you will work on a variety of projects, including ground up construction and multifamily construction, using your expertise in Electrical Estimating, Construction Estimating, Project Estimating, and Cost Estimating. - Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing proposed plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for electrical and other specialty trades.
- Review and interpret electrical and architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Utilize estimating software such as Accubid to generate accurate and competitive bids.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that projects are accurately estimated and budgeted.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings to ensure understanding of project scope and requirements.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for future improvements in estimating practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in the construction industry to enhance the accuracy and competitiveness of bids.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proven experience with ground up construction and multifamily construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Estimating, Construction Estimating, Project Estimating, and Cost Estimating.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and architectural drawings and blueprints.
- Expertise in using Accubid or similar estimating software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal building code regulations.
