Job Summary
Organize, plan and supervise the operations of the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Document Control Management Center (DCMC) in maintaining security and control of classified documentation. Control functions include receipt, issuance, inventory, shipping and destruction of classified documents and other media in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and GTRI policy and standards. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: GTRI research and administrative management and staff, sponsors, visitors, vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: GTRI research and administrative management and staff, sponsors, visitors, vendors. This position will supervise: DCMC staff personnel.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 - Provide inventory control of classified holdings including documents and materials. Job Duty 2 - Supervise the receipt, packaging and shipping of classified materials including electronic mail services. Job Duty 3 - Conduct scheduled inventories of classified materials Job Duty 4 - Implement and maintain appropriate procedures for handling and storage of classified documents and materials. Job Duty 5 - Maintain DCMC facility security and control personnel access. Job Duty 6 - Prepare monthly reports regarding DCMC activity and inventory. Job Duty 7 - Maintain Security Information Management System (SIMS) database. Job Duty 8 - Organize and supervise activities of DCMC staff personnel. Job Duty 9 - Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience Required Experience Four to five years of job related experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS This job requires working knowledge and skills in classified document control and maintenance of a secure work and storage environment. Skills in application of processes and procedures as mandated through the DoD and other agencies in the control of classified materials is also required as are skills in supervision, database management, customer service and use of office and specialized computer applications.
This is a supervisory position. This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will not be required to drive. This role is considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position will not travel This position does require security clearance.
Successful candidate must be a US Citizen.
Grade A9
Anticipated hourly rate $29.89 to $40.38
