Purchasing Pharmacy Technician
Our Company: SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.
Responsibilities:.
- Perform duties assigned by the Regional Purchasing Manager.
- The purchaser is responsible for coordinating and managing the procurement of medications and pharmacy supplies.
- Coordinate effective purchasing, optimal inventory levels.
- Handle continuous availability of medications to support efficient pharmacy operations.
- Verify product availability, pricing and expiration dates.
- Assist with department training, as needed.
- Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and distributors.
- Process purchasing reports and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies.
- Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.
- Complete any other task assigned by the Regional Purchasing Manager.
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Technician experience, preferred.
- Efficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) proficient.
- Frameworks experience preferred.
- Training is available for those interested in the role.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and effectively.
- Ability to occasionally perform light lifting (up to 25 pounds) and repetitious physical activity.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to travel, as needed.
- Must be able to multi-task.
