ICP Ductless Business Development Leader

We currently have a sales management opportunity for a Business Development Leader with responsibilities to grow Ductless revenue and share with International Comfort Products (ICP). This position is part of the Ductless and VRF business unit, under Carrier North America Residential and Light Commercial Systems (RLCS). This position will be responsible for the design and/or execution of marketing and sales strategies, policies, and programs to achieve Ductless sales goals.
This role may work remotely anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Manages the ICP Ductless sales team
Accountable to achieve assigned annual sales revenue targets and share objectives for ICP Ductless
Develops and manages joint growth strategies with Distribution and ICP RBMs to increase customer base; convert contractors and engineers
Supports distribution and Reps to meet their sales targets
Trains the sales channel on Ductless & VRF marketing programs
Assists sales channel, service, and contractors to rapidly resolve issues to ensure satisfied customers
Identifies product gaps, develop solutions to minimize the impact, and work with Product Management to prioritize and eliminate gaps
Examines marketing and sales statistics plus field conditions to identify opportunities and devise strategies for maximum growth and increased share of segment
Builds consultative relationships and trust with distribution Principals & Key Managers
Assist the sales channel, service, and contractors to rapidly take advantage of regional opportunities with utilities to include the Inflation Reduction Act
Work with ICP Marketing team to develop marketing materials to communicate Single Family, Multifamily, and Light Commercial messages to identify opportunities and devise strategies for maximum growth and increased share of segment
Fully developed professional able to work without guidance or direction from others
Accepts responsibility to participate in a collaborative and supportive relationship with fellow Ductless & VRF Business Development Leaders
Develops sales team (direct reports) by instilling Carrier Way principles and following development standards outlined by the RLCS
Encourages Ductless team to work collaboratively with VRF Regional Sales Managers
Provides strategic direction to the RLCS on projects and programs
Develops and implements short- and long-term sales strategies
Accountable for budget, staffing, and business/operational results
Accountable for managers and senior individual contributors directly reporting
Contributes to the company and the industry by advancing the level of Ductless knowledge within the contracting community
Ability to travel up to 60% of the time (North America/Canada)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of HVAC industry sales experience or High School Diploma and 10+ years of HVAC industry sales experience
Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
Sales Leadership experience
Proven history of rapid sales growth with satisfied customers
Knowledgeable about Ductless products (operation, design guidelines, accessories)
Thorough understanding of marketplace dynamics including industry trends, such as, electrification, decarbonization, and sustainability along with the ability to assess key competitive programs
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesize in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience
Strong public speaking and verbal presentation skills
Proven capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience
Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
Superior follow-up and follow-through skills
Able to work and communicate with multiple levels of positions within Distribution (Counter Sales Associates, Inside Sales Reps, Outside Sales TMs, Sales Managers and Owner/Principal)
Team player with strong collaborative abilities across business units
Collaborates with RLCS National & Strategic Accounts to identify and pursue growth opportunities
