- Floater Teacher / Back up cook
Hourly Pay Range: $15-17 per hour
Pay is determined by the level of education and years of experience. Pay increases with continued education, performance and years of service.
Teacher Responsibilities:
· Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
· Create an engaging classroom where children can learn, play and grow.
· Support children’s social and emotional development.
· Foster learning through STEAM learning and the Creative Curriculum.
· Use our app to communicate and build relationships with families.
Cook Responsibilities :
What’s it like to be a cook at our school?
- Prepares and distributes meals/snacks for children and staff according to guidelines and provided menus.
- Follows daily menu that incorporates USDA, licensing and/or health department regulations.
- Ensures safe food preparations and proper sanitation methods are used and maintains a safe kitchen/pantry area.
- Maintains inventory of food and supplies.
- Must be willing to drive the school van when needed.
Requirements
- Passion for working with young children.
- Food service experience preferred.
- At least 2 years' experience as a teacher in a licensed daycare or preschool.
- CDA, TCC or AA degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to pass background checks & health assessments.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for child safety and emergencies.
