Position: Registered Nurse (Outpatient Surgery – OR Circulator) SNSN SN
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Shift: Days – Mix of 5x8s & 4x8s (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM / 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Duration: 8 weeks
Job Duties
• Provide circulating nurse support in an outpatient surgical setting.
• Assist with a variety of procedures including Retina, Orthopedics (hips/knees), Hand surgery, Breast oncology/reconstruction, ENT, General surgery (Lap Chole, Hernia), and Podiatry.
• Prepare operating rooms, ensure proper equipment setup, and maintain sterile environment.
• Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams for efficient workflow.
• Document patient care using Epic and manage medications via Pyxis.
• Stay beyond scheduled shift if required based on case completion (“dot/double dot” system).
• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed (rare).
Requirements
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (State of Georgia or compact)
• Minimum 1 year of OR circulator experience (intraoperative setting)
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS certification required
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties preferred
• Ability to adapt to variable weekly schedule (72 hours biweekly)
• Strong clinical skills to pass pre-screening
