Travel Sterile Processing Tech Job

TLC Healthforce
Cumming, GA
Step into a pivotal role as a Sterile Processing Tech and help safeguard patient care from the shadows of the OR. This opportunity places you at the heart of hospital operations, ensuring instruments and equipment flow seamlessly from decontamination to ready-for-use in the most critical moments. As a Sterile Processing Tech, you’ll safeguard patient safety by maintaining pristine sterility, meticulous instrument tracking, and precise preparation of surgical sets. Beginning February 23, 2026, this multi-week assignment offers a robust pathway to sharpen your expertise, expand your professional network, and experience the rewarding cadence of a career dedicated to precision, quality, and resilience. Georgia’s charm isn’t just in its professional promise—this state flaunts landscape and culture that nourish the spirit: rolling Blue Ridge vistas, tranquil lakes and parks around every corner, the river towns along the Chattahoochee, and the historic beauty of cities like Savannah and Atlanta. From scenic trails to vibrant arts scenes, Georgia invites you to explore after your shift, making every week a balanced blend of work and discovery.

Cumming, Georgia places you in a thriving hub just outside the metro pulse of Atlanta, where healthcare excellence, community, and Southern hospitality converge. Working in this location means you can enjoy convenient access to major medical networks, modern central sterile processing facilities, and collaborative teams that value accuracy, accountability, and teamwork. The region’s temperate climate and access to outdoor recreation—from hiking in nearby parks to weekend getaways to nearby state and national landmarks—offer a fulfilling backdrop to your professional life. And if you’re energized by new experiences, this assignment also presents opportunities to work in various locations across the United States, delivering diverse case mixes, facility types, and environments that broaden your competencies and credential portfolio while keeping your career vibrant and future-focused.

In this role, your responsibilities will center on the core duties that keep surgical services safe and efficient. You’ll decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute instruments and trays for a wide range of surgical specialties. You’ll manage instrument inventories, track lot control and sterilization cycles, monitor sterilization equipment performance, and ensure compliance with strict standards such as AAMI guidelines, JCAHO requirements, and OSHA regulations. You’ll participate in quality control checks, document processing times, and collaborate with perioperative teams to anticipate instrument needs, preventing delays that could affect patient care. The position emphasizes precise attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement. As you gain experience, there are clear pathways to broaden your scope—whether pursuing advanced certifications, cross-training in OR operations, or taking on lead responsibilities in the processing chain.

Our benefits go beyond competitive pay. You’ll earn an attractive weekly rate in the range of $725–$761, reflecting the value we place on skilled sterile processing professionals. The assignment includes guaranteed hours—40 per week—providing predictability and stability in your schedule. To support your transition and maximize your earnings, we offer a sign-on bonus and robust housing assistance to ease relocation or temporary housing needs. We also provide extension opportunities, allowing you to continue your journey with the company beyond the initial weeks if you and the facilities align. Throughout your travel, you’ll benefit from comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance from a dedicated team that understands on-the-ground realities and is always ready to help with housing, travel logistics, local orientation, or urgent needs. This combination of paid stability, financial incentives, and continuous backing helps you focus on delivering exemplary sterile processing services where every instrument meets exacting safety standards.

The company behind this opportunity is committed to empowering its staff. We invest in your growth with ongoing professional development, access to updated equipment and techniques, and a culture that recognizes your contributions. You’ll work within a supportive environment designed to encourage collaboration, respect for safety, and a continuum of learning—from foundational competencies to advanced practice. Career advancement is a clear objective, with leadership pathways, cross-facility experiences, and opportunities to expand your expertise across multisite healthcare settings. By partnering with you, we build a team that thrives on consistency, precision, and a genuine commitment to patient-centered care in every theater of operation.

If you’re ready to advance your sterile processing career, we invite you to apply and explore this compelling opportunity. This assignment not only strengthens your technical acumen but also exposes you to varied facilities and patient populations, shaping you into a versatile professional who can adapt to different workflows and standards while remaining anchored in the highest levels of safety and quality. Join a company that values your expertise, supports your ambitions, and helps you realize your professional goals through meaningful, impactful work. Ready to embark on a journey that blends Georgia’s welcoming spirit with nationwide experiences and a clear path to growth? Apply now and take the next step toward a brighter, more resilient future in sterile processing.
