Next Gen Interim Youth Leader

Centennial Baptist Church- Rutledge, GA is seeking a part time interim Next Gen Leader to provide consistent, caring, and safe leadership during a transitional period. Centennial Baptist Church believes in leading, equipping, and strengthening the next generation of leaders. We seek an energetic, Christ centered, mature Christian to guide our Next Generation in spiritual growth and community engagement.

DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Pastor/Church Leadership, the Next Gen Leader shall be responsible for leading the Church in reaching students for Christ. The general duties shall include, but not be limited to, the process of motivating, equipping, leading, growing, inspiring, and spiritually developing 6th-12th grade students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ with a humble and teachable Spirit

2. Be knowledgeable of basic Baptist Doctrine and agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

3. Ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and church members.

4. Possess strong leadership and communication skills

5. Familiar with church ministries particularly next gen ministries

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strive to disciple students and reach the lost for Christ.

2. Lead in planning, developing, and implementing a growing ministry to students. Meet regularly with youth ministry team and youth parents.

3. Lead outreach efforts to students, including training in personal evangelism.

4. Provide counseling.

5. Lead weekly student worship service.

6. Arrange annual conferences, camps, retreats, etc. that result in spiritual and numerical growth.

7. Plan, develop, and provide regular fellowship activities for students.

8. Work with Finance team to develop and implement a budget.

9. Coordinate visits as needed to students.

10. Be involved in the overall ministry of the Church.

11. Cooperation with all other ministers and Church staff.

12. Coordinate with Sunday School Next Gen Leaders on curriculum topics
