Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care, Cumming, Georgia, US. This travel - temporary assignment starts 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks with a weekly pay range of $2,208 to $2,320 and guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. The role is in a hospital setting within the acute care department, supporting a broad range of medical and surgical diagnoses.

Responsibilities
- Perform bedside speech-language pathology evaluations for acute care inpatients in alignment with physician orders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans addressing dysphagia, cognitive-communication, voice, and related disorders.
- Utilize MBS/FEES proficiency as a plus, interpreting results to guide clinical decisions.
- Collaborate with the medical team, nurses, dietitians, and other therapists to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning.
- Document assessment findings, progress notes, treatment plans, and patient education in the medical record.
- Provide education to patients and families on swallowing safety, communication strategies, and rehabilitation goals; participate in rounds and care conferences.
- Support a wide range of diagnoses, including ICU patients, stroke/neurological conditions, respiratory compromise, and other complex medical cases.

Requirements
- Active Georgia license for Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and CCC-SLP certification.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 15–18 months of recent acute care experience.
- Ability to work effectively in an acute care hospital setting.
- Prior experience with ICU, stroke, dysphagia, and cognitive-communication needs is desirable.
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment and adapt to a hospital-based schedule.
