Job Title: Staff Mechanical Engineer – Electromechanical Systems – $50–$69/hr + $10K Sign-On Bonus

Location: Covington, GA (Onsite Mon–Thu, Friday Flexible)

Pay Rate: $69.44/hr
Bonus: $10,000 sign-on bonus for relocation
Schedule: 1st shift, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with 1-hour lunch (some flexibility)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (opportunity for full-time conversion based on performance)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer with expertise in electromechanical systems and capital equipment design. In this role, you will lead small teams, drive product development, and contribute to R&D initiatives for advanced mechanical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to step into a leadership role with the potential for full-time conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop components, mechanisms, and complex electromechanical systems
• Lead and mentor small engineering teams on design and development projects
• Perform advanced testing, data analysis, and problem-solving for mechanical systems
• Apply statistical techniques and design of experiments (DOE) in product development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory)
• Ensure designs meet customer needs, compliance requirements, and business goals

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME/MSME)
• 8+ years of experience in electromechanical and capital equipment design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor a small team
• Proven experience designing, developing, and testing complex systems

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience in medical device or other regulated industries
• R&D background in capital equipment development
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards
