Senior Manager, Customs

Our site at Fairburn delivers extraordinary 3PL solution to a tech giant. We are looking for Senior Manager to manage our Site's customs program.

• Provide subject-matter expertise in U.S. Customs and international trade compliance to support new site launches, ensuring all customs processes, systems, and controls are established in alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Lead and advise cross-functional teams during site start-ups on customs procedures, documentation, bonded operations (as applicable), and risk mitigation strategies.
• Serve as a senior advisor to leadership on customs-related matters, proactively identifying compliance risks and operational impacts.
• Participate in Senior Management strategy meetings to provide customs guidance that supports business growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless customs operations and continuous improvement across the network.

About the Role

How you will contribute

• Responsible for trade compliance content and expertise throughout the company, contributes to development and implementation of new tools, processes and business capabilities.
• Act to understand customer (internal and external) needs in non-standard and complex situations.
• Create and maintain instructions and documents processes in own responsibility area.
• Research customs regulations and rulings, determines regulatory or interpretive basis for each classification, and communicates with internal clients and external customs brokers.
• Determines FTA qualification based on applicable Rules of Origin and helps prepare documentation. Maintains appropriate documentation to substantiate origin determinations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

• Experience with import/export compliance, including customs regulations and international trade.
• Certified Customs Broker and Licensed Attorney.
• EAR and ITAR experience.
• Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Trade Compliance Specialist and/or Certified Customs Specialist.
• Working knowledge of NAFTA and other trade agreements and special customs procedures.
