The Classic Center is seeking a confident, service‑driven Theatre Event & Guest Services Manager to lead front‑of‑house operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences across touring performances, professional events, and community programs. This role blends hands‑on leadership, event planning, and hospitality in a fast‑paced live entertainment environment.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as lead Front of House Manager for touring and ticketed theatre events
- Ensure smooth entry, seating, crowd flow, and a safe, welcoming environment
- Plan and execute non‑touring events including community, university, and fundraising programs
- Lead and grow the volunteer usher program, including recruitment, training, and appreciation
- Oversee ADA accommodations, crowd management, and emergency preparedness
- Train and support part‑time staff and interns
- Collaborate closely with Theatre Operations, Event Services, Ticketing, and Marketing teams
What You Bring
- 1–2 years of experience in event management, hospitality, or customer service
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by events
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain active during events
A college degree is preferred but not required.
The candidate who is selected for this position will have to successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.
