General Laborer

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a General Labor Worker in Villa Rica, GA. In this contract role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of essential warehouse functions, ensuring the timely and accurate flow of materials and products throughout the distribution center. In a General Labor job you’ll be responsible for:

• Material Handling: Manually load, unload, stack, and move materials within the warehouse using basic equipment such (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks).
• Inventory Support: Assist in organizing and maintaining accurate inventory counts, including cycle counting and verification of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Packing and Kitting: Prepare finished products for shipment, including packing, labeling, wrapping, and performing light assembly/kitting tasks as required.
• Order Fulfillment: Support the picking and staging of materials based on work orders and shipping requirements, ensuring accuracy prior to dispatch.
• Safety and Maintenance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Equipment Operation: May include basic operation of forklifts or other powered industrial trucks after appropriate certification and training (certification is a plus).
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production and shipping goals.

What you’ll need:

• Prior experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment is strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during the shift.
• Proven reliability and strong work ethic, with a commitment to punctuality.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills necessary for inventory and labeling tasks.
• Willingness to submit to pre-employment screenings.

Shift/schedule options:

• Monday - Friday 7 AM - 3 PM $15/hr
