Golf Shop Store Attendant

JOB SUMMARY:

Includes but is not limited to responsibility for the day-to-day retail operations in the Golf Shop.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists with the day-to-day functions associated with the retail in the Golf Shop to include but not limited to running Point-of-Sale, merchandise sales, general store upkeep, receiving and stocking, documentation of all sales and general administrative duties.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and taking monthly inventory within the store.
• Provides a professional, hospitable, and courteous environment to all members, guests, and prospects.
• Able to offer knowledgeable advice to clients regarding the available merchandise and its best use.
• Assists clients with special orders for merchandise.
• Assist in processing invoices/billing to members and their guests.
• Assisting with checking in golfers, scheduling of play, assisting with events as requested, coordinating lessons, and interaction and coordination with the Assistant Golf Professionals on various club activities.
• Maintains the interior and exterior of the Golf Shop in all aspects of a clean and neat facility.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures that all members, guests, and co-workers are treated in a friendly and respectful manner in accordance with the standards of excellence of The Ford Field and River Club.
• Assists in other departments and performs additional related duties as required.
• Understands and follows policies and procedures of the department and The Ford Field and River Club overall.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFIATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Professional, friendly, and outgoing attitude, appearance and demeanor required.
• Valid driver's license required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling and working in inclement weather. Lifts 50 pounds. Hearing must be sufficient to understand conversation on the telephone in a noisy environment. Must have hand usage and mobility to perform duties.
