Process & Manufacturing Engineer
Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Process & Manufacturing Engineer in the Griffin GA area
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 Position Summary
The Process Engineer, reporting to the Production Leader, is responsible for the optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable production. This role focuses on enhancing productivity, improving quality, reducing costs and waste, and supporting innovation through collaboration with R&D and cross-functional teams. The Process Engineer also plays a key role in plant trials, customer-specific product validations, and supporting maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Process Development: Design new processes and modify existing ones to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Process Optimization: Analyze process data, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to maximize performance.
Equipment Management: Oversee equipment performance, including testing, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Documentation: Develop and maintain operating procedures, process documentation, and training materials to ensure consistent and safe operations.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all process engineering activities.
Collaboration: Partner with international and on-site teams, including management, engineering, and production staff, to integrate new processes and technologies.
Problem Solving: Investigate and troubleshoot process issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze process data, set meaningful KPIs, and apply statistical methods to drive data-based decision-making.
Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful completion of process improvement initiatives.
Training & Mentoring: Provide guidance and training to new hires and staff on processes, improvements, and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science, or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Preferred background in plastics, chemicals, or extrusion processes.
Strong passion for the chemical/production industry.
Demonstrated teamwork, proactivity, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to think creatively and drive innovative solutions.
