Job Title: RN - PCU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in requested specialty License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI (will be provided if not held) Must-Have: PCU skills, arrhythmia monitoring, knowledge of cardiac titratable drips Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. The facility is a licensed educational institution with accredited residency programs. It operates as a Level 2 trauma center and is recognized as a Chest Pain and Stroke Center. The Registered Nurse will attend to a diverse patient population, including general emergency department cases, trauma, and respiratory illnesses. Specific patient types include syncope, infections, oncological patients, and various surgical cases. Critical care areas include neurology, cardiac stepdown, observation, and combined ICU settings. Required skills include placing Foley catheters, advanced cardiac monitoring, and familiarity with department-specific equipment. Support staff includes CNAs, Respiratory Therapists, Phlebotomists, and other specialists. Weekend rotations and holiday expectations may apply.
