Overview
We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Operations Specialist to support daily operations by coordinating preventative maintenance and repairs for terminal tractors and trailers.
This role is critical to ensuring maximum fleet uptime , working closely with internal teams, customers, and third-party vendors to schedule and manage maintenance efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance for fleet units
- Maintain maintenance records using internal systems and software
- Monitor fleet performance to ensure preventative maintenance targets are met
- Communicate with customers regarding unit availability and service timelines
- Prepare daily and monthly maintenance reports
- Provide repair estimates when applicable
- Identify and order necessary parts for repairs
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely service completion
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and recommend solutions
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance or preventative maintenance
- 1–2 years of customer service experience
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and communicate information clearly
Skills and Experience
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based systems
- Ability to diagnose minor mechanical issues remotely is a plus
