- A leadership role with direct responsibility for the performance and development of a Carrier Sales team.
- The chance to build and execute innovative carrier sourcing strategies that drive operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Daily collaboration with Sales, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure seamless load coverage and market-aligned pricing.
- A key role in shaping routing guides, building enterprise-level carrier programs, and ensuring 70%+ lead-time prebooking goals are consistently met.
- Visibility into organizational KPIs with ownership over critical performance areas such as SLA adherence, carrier retention, and cost efficiency.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Carrier Sales Representatives through coaching, training, and clear performance metrics.
- Design and implement sourcing strategies that ensure reliable, scalable carrier capacity across multiple modes (truckload, LTL, intermodal, expedited).
- Monitor execution quality and intervene in real time to resolve escalations, service failures, or claims.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Account Management to align carrier solutions with evolving customer needs.
- Provide data-driven market intelligence and cost benchmarking insights to senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance metrics, identifying gaps, and implementing process enhancements.
Are You a Carrier Sourcing Rock Star?
- 3–5 years of freight brokerage or logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing carrier sales teams.
- Deep knowledge of transportation modes, carrier networks, and procurement strategies.
- Proficient in TMS platforms and familiar with industry tools like DAT, Truckstop, MacroPoint, and FourKites.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build carrier relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
