As a Commercial Tire Technician at Wilks Truck Center, you will be accountable for properly and safely performing the tire and related services needed for all commercial tire users both in the truck center and on the road. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Service Commercial Tires including dismounting and mounting any type of tire.Ability to run roadside emergency calls on nights and weekends.Train to perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessaryInflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirementsPerform roadside service calls on a rotating on-call scheduleDetermine repairable tire conditions and making such repairsRemove tires for retreading or repair as neededRespond in a timely manner to customer service calls, diagnosing issues, and performing on-site repairs and/or replacementsClean and maintain service equipmentProperly maintain assigned Service Vehicle including appearance of on-board service equipmentWear proper PPE, use tire cages, and follow all other safety policies and proceduresPerform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.Report any safety issues immediately to management.Help keep shop clean and organizedAny other duties as assigned by managementBasic Qualifications:Valid Driver's license and good driving recordMust be at least 21 years of age.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Candidate Criteria:Commitment to follow all safety procedures and comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements.Must be a self-starter and willing to take initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions.Strong work ethic; independently motivated to produce results with limited influence from others. Hard worker, someone who works diligently to get tasks done and demonstrates personal characteristics, such as responsibility, dependability, conscientiousness, communication, and teamwork.Display a commitment to learning new technologies within the rapidly changing industry.Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions.Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and guidelines.Job Type: Full-time Benefits:Employee discountMedical, Dental, Vision InsuranceExperience level:1 yearSchedule:8 hour shiftOvertimeExperience:Automotive Repair: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver 's License (Required)Work Location: In person
