Job Summary:
Boys & Girls Clubs of America is a youth development organization that provides mentorship, safe environments, and life-enriching programs. As Director of Product, you will lead the product vision and execution across a portfolio of technology-based business capabilities, overseeing a dynamic team and collaborating with various stakeholders to develop user-centered solutions that empower youth-serving professionals.
Responsibilities:
Define product strategies and roadmaps aligned with BGCAs broader technology and data strategy.
Lead planning efforts in collaboration with internal departments, Movement stakeholders, and external vendors.
Manage a product portfolio across the full lifecycle: scoping, prioritization, development, and adoption.
Stay attuned to emerging technologies and trends, advising on feasibility and value.
Guide technology RFPs tied to enterprise-level operations and service delivery.
Apply Agile methodologies and DevOps principles to ensure efficient, iterative development.
Manage internal and consultant teams to deliver high-impact products and services.
Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, cost-effective, and supportable prior to launch.
Build service-level metrics, facilitate regular service reviews, and promote strong governance practices.
Lead a cross-functional product team and collaborate with business owners to translate needs into actionable product strategies.
Cultivate a culture of learning, curiosity, and collaboration within your team and across the organization.
Serve as a technology ambassador, helping BGCA leaders become better owners and consumers of digital products.
Ensure all products and systems align with BGCAs architecture, security, and compliance standards.
Maintain resource libraries and documentation to support application operations.
Respond to and resolve technical incidents swiftly while implementing preventative measures.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of leadership experience in IT, product management, or digital delivery.
Demonstrated experience managing software products and services across the full lifecycle.
Proficiency in Agile/Scrum, DevOps practices, and change management.
Experience leading product delivery within a multi-site, multi-vendor environment.
Strong background in SaaS platforms (Salesforce expertise a plus).
Ability to translate business needs into product requirements and technical strategy.
A strong customer-service and user-centered mindset.
Experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
Preferred:
Nonprofit or mission-driven sector experience
Familiarity with the Boys & Girls Club Movement
Experience working with RFPs and vendor evaluations
