Position Summary: The Construction General Laborer assists with a variety of tasks on construction sites, including site preparation, material handling, and supporting skilled trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with site preparation and clean-up, including debris removal.
• Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment around job sites.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely.
• Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, equipment operators, and pipe layers as needed.
• Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and temporary structures.
• Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
• Follow all company safety procedures and report any hazards.
• Assist with traffic control and flagging as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Previous construction or general labor experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of construction hand and power tools.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
