Position Summary
The Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney will manage a dynamic caseload while providing high-quality legal representation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This role is ideal for a motivated attorney with strong litigation skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of approximately 150 workers’ compensation cases.
- Draft and submit settlement demands with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Negotiate claims with opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders.
- Respond to discovery requests accurately and within required deadlines.
- Conduct depositions of clients, witnesses, and expert parties.
- Represent clients in hearings, motions, and other court proceedings.
- Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients regarding case status and strategy.
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure efficient case progression.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar (required).
- 0–3 years of workers’ compensation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with legal technology in a paperless environment.
- Demonstrated integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
