Express seeks a dedicated person to fill a Facilities Communications Specialist (Dispatcher) position to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s facilities. Compensation: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule
- 2nd Shift - Friday - Monday – Vary from 2:00 PM – 10:30PM and 3:00PM – 11:30PM
- 3rd Shift - Friday – Monday – Vary from 10:00PM – 6:30AM and 11:00PM – 7:30AM
Responsibilities
- Receive and log call-ins by telephone or computer
- Create work orders in the Maximo system
- Assign rooms to custodians for cleaning in the Capacity Management System
- Communicate via radio and telephone with maintenance, environmental, and security personnel
- Maintain an accurate log of all daily events and requests
- Provide exceptional customer service to manage customer queries and complaints
- Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude at all times
- Maintain a high volume of inbound calls
- Receive work orders by telephone and/or computer
- Ensure that work orders meet criteria and determine appropriate responses
- Assign work orders to the correct zone mechanics
- Prioritize and dispatch work order requests
- Follow up with customers using work order numbers to ensure job completion
- Maintain ongoing two-way radio and telephone communication with all facilities, security, and safety personnel
- Monitor the fire alarm and infant alarm systems for all buildings at the client site
- Monitor the pneumatic tubing system for the client site
- Undergo fire watch training to complete fire watch patrols for client construction sites and notify the safety department of any deficiencies
- Monitor the Bed Management system
- Field calls for different departments on an as-needed basis
- Complete monthly elevator phone inspections
- Report elevator issues and/or entrapments to client contractors and facilities
- Carry out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site
Requirements
- Must pass a background and drug screen.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Security experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Must be able to lift 20+ lbs.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
- Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good active listening skills
- Professional phone voice
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to work independently once training is complete
- Must be well-groomed and professional in appearance
