Interim Worship Leader

Centennial Baptist Church- Rutledge, GA is seeking a part time interim Worship Leader to provide consistent spiritual worship during a transitional period. We seek a worship leader with a shepherd’s heart focusing on genuine worship engagement to cultivate a warm welcoming environment that blends traditional and contemporary worship music. Centennial Baptist Church believes that worship prepares our hearts to receive a Word from The Lord. We seek an energetic, Christ centered, mature Christian to guide our spiritual growth through worship.

DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Pastor/Church Leadership, the Worship Leader shall be responsible for leading the Church in weekly worship service. The general duties shall include, but not be limited to, the process of scheduling, rehearsing, planning, and coordinating all worship services including audio visual ministry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ with a humble and teachable Spirit

2. Be knowledgeable of basic Baptist Doctrine and agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

3. Ability to work effectively with church staff, praise team, audio visual team, and church members.

4. Possess strong leadership and communication skills

5. Familiar with church ministries particularly music ministries

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead vocally and instrumentally during Sunday morning worship.

2. Conduct weekly rehearsals to prepare the worship/ AV team and ensure musical quality.

3. Select music and coordinate the order of service in conjunction with interim Pastor.

4. Prepare sermon and worship lyrics in Pro Presenter prior to Sunday morning services.

5. Recruit, train, and encourage volunteer musicians, vocalists, and AV team.

6. Work in conjunction with Finance team to develop annual budget.

7. Prioritize maintenance and needs for AV equipment.
