Production Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead shift operations in a high speed, high volume FOOD manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe workplace, delivering consistent product quality, and supporting efficient production flow. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and hands-on leader who can train, coach, and motivate employees while enforcing company policies and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Oversight

• Oversee assigned processing activities to ensure compliance with internal quality standards, federal and state regulations, and customer expectations.
• Maintain operational alignment with current GMP and HACCP requirements.

Team Leadership and Development

• Train, guide, and coach employees to ensure safe and consistent adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor performance and provide regular feedback to support employee development.

Workforce and Documentation Management

• Maintain accurate manpower, time, and attendance records each day.
• Coordinate staffing and workflow to achieve maximum efficiency, quality, and throughput.

Quality and Continuous Improvement

• Monitor raw material flow to support optimal production output.
• Investigate production issues to identify root causes and reduce waste.
• Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and project management methods as needed.

Safety and Compliance

• Enforce plant policies, work rules, and safety procedures.
• Partner with Human Resources to ensure consistent policy application.
• Work with the Safety Department to maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment and support safety audits.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Business Management, Food Science, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

• Prior supervisory or production experience in a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment is required.

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $50,000 - $75,000
