Registered Nurse,

This Registered Nurse (RN) position requires a minimum of two years of experience in a relevant specialty (PACU). The RN will provide skilled nursing care in an outpatient surgery center setting, focusing on post-anesthesia care. Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Holiday work is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

- Providing skilled nursing care to patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
- Performing patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring and pain management.
- Administering medications as ordered by physicians.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Documenting patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborating effectively with physicians, other nurses, and support staff.
- Maintaining a safe and clean patient environment.
- Managing patient records and electronic health records (EHR).
- Responding to patient needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of two years of experience in PACU or a related surgical specialty.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).

Special Considerations:

- Must work two major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve) out of three.
- Work schedule is 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM for a 16-week assignment.
- Outpatient surgery center environment.

Scheduling:

- 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday (likely).
- 16-week assignment.
- Holiday rotation as specified above.
