Key Responsibilities of the RN - Emergency Department

• Provide high-quality care to patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Manage a patient load that includes chest pain, strokes, diabetes, and more
• Administer and titrate medications, including Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, and others
• Coordinate patient care with CNAs, unit secretaries, and other support staff
• Utilize EPIC EMR for thorough documentation

Requirements of the RN - Emergency Department

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of ED RN experience
• Proficiency in emergency nursing, level I trauma experience preferred
• Completion of EKG competency exam
