Traveling Electrical Superintendent - Retail
Location: Cumming GA Based (Travel weekly from Cumming, GA) Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee on-site construction activities in the national retail space. This is a traveling role that requires a knowledgeable, proactive leader who can step onto a job site, understand the scope, and quickly begin driving progress. The ideal candidate thrives in the field, can interpret blueprints, direct crews effectively, and make sound decisions with confidence. You will serve as the on-site lead, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site electrical construction activities of onsite energy systems which will provide emergency power in the event of a utility outage.
- Interpret and implement electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Provide leadership to field crews, subcontractors, and project teams
- Coordinate, order, and track materials to support project schedules
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with codes and regulations
- Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and proactively adjust plans as needed
- Communicate regularly with project management and headquarters on status, needs, and risks
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction, with supervisory responsibilities
- Experience with emergency power generators or utilities is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to take ownership on site
- Willingness to travel extensively and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- This role involves outdoor work at commercial construction sites across the United States.
