Job Summary
Join our dynamic coffee shop team as a Trainer, shaping our staff across multiple roles and locations to deliver exceptional customer experiences! You’ll train cashiers, cooks, baristas, and expeditors (expo), ensuring they excel in their positions while embodying our brand and culture. This leadership role combines hands-on operations with mentoring in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities and Duties

  • Train staff in multiple positions (cashier, cook, barista, and expo) on job-specific skills, customer service, and shop policies.
  • Follow training schedules, with flexibility for the Training Manager to schedule trainings within two weeks’ notice or less.
  • Provide constructive feedback and immediately address training issues across all roles to maintain high standards.
  • Act as a brand and culture spokesperson, promoting our values in all interactions.
  • Attend monthly/quarterly training team meetings to review new processes and ensure consistency.
  • Assist with daily operations, including serving customers, handling cash, preparing food and drinks, and expediting orders.
  • Serve as a model employee, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of employment at Charlotte’s, with experience in at least three of the following roles: cashier, cook, barista, or expo.
  • Strong communication and teaching skills, with a patient and approachable demeanor.
  • Proficiency in coffee-making techniques, food preparation, cashier duties, and order expediting.
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire diverse team members.
  • Commitment to embodying and promoting our brand and culture.
  • Ability to address performance issues promptly and professionally across multiple roles.
  • Prior training or mentoring experience is a plus.
  • Must be part time as a minimum
  • Comfortable at training at multiple locations

Compensation and Benefits

  • Permanent 50-cent/hour raise upon promotion to Trainer.
  • Additional 50-cent/hour raise during active training sessions.
  • Two free merchandise items per merch drop.
  • Additional benefits include free drinks on shift, employee discounts, and flexible scheduling.

Work Environment and Schedule

  • Fast-paced, customer-focused coffee shop with a vibrant, team-oriented culture.
  • Part-time or full-time hours, with flexibility to accommodate training schedules (planned two weeks out or less).
  • Weekend and morning availability required.
  • Weekly updating of your personal availability is mandatory.
