Mechanical Engineer
Overview:
Seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to lead and support gas utility engineering projects from planning and design through construction. This role works closely with Senior Engineers, Project Managers, and clients while contributing to technical development and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical engineering analysis and design for gas utility projects.
- Serve as a primary client contact for scope, budget, and schedule alignment.
- Support proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
- Define mechanical design requirements, material selection, and equipment sizing.
- Conduct internal and client design reviews and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop construction materials, design standards, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce compliant, efficient designs.
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and help resolve complex issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3–6 years mechanical design experience preferred.
- E.I.T. preferred; P.E. track expected.
- Experience in gas distribution, transmission, facilities, LNG, and technical report writing strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, and Bluebeam is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments.
