Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and grow our mechanical engineering team in Atlanta, GA . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional ready to take on a leadership role within a dynamic, multidisciplinary firm. You’ll work on impactful, complex projects while helping shape the future of our Atlanta mechanical group.
In this role, you’ll manage project execution, mentor and build a team of engineers, and engage in business development and client relationship building. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities, who thrives in a collaborative, people-first culture. Key Responsibilities:
Lead HVAC and plumbing design for a variety of building types
Manage and mentor a growing team of mechanical engineers
Provide technical direction and oversight across project phases
Coordinate with internal disciplines and external consultants
Participate in business development, proposal writing, and client engagement
Offer construction support and consulting during project delivery
Contribute to firm-wide strategic growth initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) – required
10+ years of consulting experience in the AEC (Architecture/Engineering/Construction) industry
Minimum 8 years of hands-on HVAC and plumbing design experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Business development experience is preferred
Active industry involvement is a plus
