A Sales and Training Manager for a health insurance agency leads and develops a sales team to meet revenue goals by designing and implementing sales strategies, recruiting and training agents, and monitoring performance. This role involves deep knowledge of health insurance products, strong leadership and coaching skills, and expertise in building and maintaining relationships with agents, clients, and stakeholders to ensure compliance and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy:
Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to achieve agency goals and growth.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of health insurance sales agents to improve their sales skills and meet performance targets.
Recruitment:
Source, interview, and onboard high-quality individuals to join the agency as sales agents.
Training and Development:
Create and deliver comprehensive sales training programs, providing ongoing coaching and support to both new and experienced agents.
Performance Management:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate individual and team performance, and provide feedback to improve sales results.
Client and Partner Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, business owners, HR professionals, and other decision-makers to foster business growth.
Compliance:
Ensure all sales activities and agent practices adhere to industry regulations and company policies.
Market Analysis:
Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Reporting:
Prepare and present regular sales reports and performance data to senior management.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Proven track record in sales and management, preferably within the health insurance industry.
- Deep understanding of health insurance products and the market landscape.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and training programs.
- Proficiency in analyzing market data and performance metrics.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is often preferred.
